These Wolof musicians, who wish to remain anonymous, created this song to remind leaders that effective planning involves various kinds of resources as well as various kinds of leadership behaviors. Clear direction and encouragement are just as important as physical resources for accomplishing a task like building a road.
The recording was created in Dakar, Senegal using a ZOOM H6 handheld digital recorder along with Shure SM57 and SM58 microphones. The video was shot by a young Senegalese man who was experimenting with some rapid camera movements.
