When King Hezekiah called for God’s people to bring their tithes he was amazed at their response. The leaders said, “Since the people gave generously we have all that we need with plenty left over.”
2 Chronicles 31
The first followers of Christ in Jerusalem generously sold their property and gave the funds to the church so that the needs of everyone could be met. Acts 4
In each of these biblical accounts, God supplied everything needed for ministry through his people – that’s us!
Florence Sambou and her team of Diola musicians composed this song to remind church leaders that God supplies his work through his local people. This song is part of an innovative leadership development curriculum from Freedom to Lead International (FTL). This curriculum enables storycentric leaders to develop critical leadership competencies regardless of their literacy level. FTL’s mission is to cultivate competent, Christ-centered leaders through story, symbol and song to unleash their potential for impacting local communities with the whole gospel.
Mary Lu and I are blessed to facilitate the creation of new indigenous songs to accompany FTL’s curriculum.
