As you read this we should have arrived in Dakar, Senegal and are prepping to begin four days of song development on Tuesday morning. These songs will be in French and are meant to serve as examples for leaders who will be taking Freedom to Lead’s The Garden Project curriculum to their own countries throughout West and North Africa.
We have expanded our gear for this trip to more easily accommodate the use of a full drum set as well as traditional African drums. (see pics) We will be working in an actual recording studio (a rare but welcome change) so we are hoping that the acoustics of the room(s) will allow us to separate drums and vocals to create recordings with greater clarity and punch.
